Lt. Chris Palmer 1985 – 2013

Palmer PhotoCornish, NH-Charles Christopher Palmer, 27, of Town House Road, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born in Hanover, NH on October 8, 1985. Chris spent his early years in Windsor, VT and Newbury, NH and graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School, North Sutton, NH in 2004. He has resided in Cornish for the past 5+ years. Since graduation he has worked for Hank Thomas Construction.

Chris has served on the Newbury Volunteer Fire Department for years and had been the Lt. on Engine 2 for the past 10 years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Parish in Newport, NH and was a member of the Police Fire E.M.S. Foundation. Chris loved fishing and being with his boys. He enjoyed maple sugaring and carpentry and built his present home while restoring the old family farm for his future home.

He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Jessica (Orlowski) Palmer; two sons, Charles A. and Steven P. Palmer all of Cornish, NH; his parents, Charles E. “Chuck” Palmer of New London, NH and Tracey A. (Bailey) Palmer of North Sutton, NH; two brothers, Devon and his wife, Samantha Palmer and their sons, Logan and Matthew of Newbury, NH and Ryan Palmer of Concord, NH; a sister, Caitlin Palmer of North Sutton, NH; grandfathers, Charles S. Palmer of Seaford, NY and Arthur W. Bailey of Claremont, NH; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 4-7 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Church, Newport, NH. Burial will be in Booth-Sherman Cemetery, Newbury, NH in the spring.
